Today is the 2nd birthday of this blog! It really has come along very quickly. To mark this day, this post will be about my favourite restaurant post, thing I’ve made and freebie over the last 2 years.

My Favourite Restaurant Post

Bodean's - Old Street

As you know I love eating out at restaurants. There’s plenty to chose from like Bodeans, Tredwells and Blacklock.

My favourite has to be my first, and so far, only Michelin star restaurant at Galvin at Windows. From start to finish it was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.

My Favourite Thing I Made

I’ve made a lot of great thing over the last 2 years from soda bread, sourdough and bagels to dhal, tattie scones and gyros. I can’t decide on one for this section so I’ve picked two!

The first of these has to be Nadiya’s crispy chocolate and salted peanut tart. It was so much fun to make and rich and delicious to eat. The best part was sharing it with people and seeing their reactions.

The second is pastrami. Since I made it this first time, I’ve made it once more. It’s time consuming but so worth the effort. Once we’ve moved I’ll be making it again in time for our house warming party.

My Favourite Freebie

I’ve been lucky enough to be provided with quite a few freebies over the last few years. Japanese ingredients from Yutaka, Ginger Beer gifted by Love Popups London, Coldbrew Coffee from Sandows.

02/09 - Jawbox Pineapple and Ginger served

The best freebie has to be, so far, the gin subscription box. I’ve so far had 3 great boxes with gin, tonics and snacks from this great company with more still to come.

I’m looking forward to all the great experiences I can write about and share with you over the coming years.
